Analysis:

The Washington Huskies will begin a new era for their program after the departure of long-time head coach Greg Metcalf and the arrival of Maurica and Andy Powell from Oregon. After a 22nd place finish at NCAAs last season the Powells inherit a strong foundation with tons of potential from underclassmen Tibebu Proctor and Talon Hull.

However, this year will be led by the senior duo of Tanner Anderson and Fred Huxham. Anderson finished 41st last year while at Oregon and looks to be their No. 1 stick and Huxham with a strong 5K personal best of 13:44 returns after redshirting last season.

Outside the Huskies top two sticks, Coach Powell will look to Andy Snyder, Tibebu Proctor, and Mahmoud Moussa to have breakout cross country performances. If these three men can find a way to sneak into the top-100 look for the Huskies to flirt with a top-15 team finish.
