Wisconsin Pre-Nationals Confidence Picks: New Mexico Gets Back On Top
Here are five Wisconsin Pre-Nationals confidence picks including New Mexico, Sharon Lokedi, BYU and NAU.
The epicenter of NCAA cross country this weekend is once again Madison, Wisconsin as Saturday’s Wisconsin Pre-Nationals will host a bevy of ranked teams and individuals.
Two weeks ago, the season kicked into full gear with the Nuttycombe Invitational on the same course. The results of that race established a more refined hierarchy, but also raised plenty of questions. This week, the top teams will be split into two different races, spreading out the talent among two evenly-seeded races.

Without Colorado’s A team present, the Oregon women roll to victory in the White race, putting three women in the top 10.
New Mexico gets back to their winning ways and takes the women’s Cardinal race.
Sharon Lokedi, the 10,000m champion from the NCAA Outdoor Championships, wins the loaded women’s Cardinal race that includes six of the top 10 women in the nation.
As expected, NAU dominates the men’s Cardinal race packing all five of their scoring runners in the top 20.
Things are a bit more competitive in the men’s White race with BYU living up to their number two ranking and getting the victory over Portland.
