The original story appears below:

Jamaican professional distance runner Kemoy Campbell collapsed while rabbiting the men’s 3,000m race on Saturday at the Millrose Games in New York City. According to NBC's Lewis Johnson, who was there on the scene, EMTs "shocked" the unconscious athlete to help revitalize him.

Campbell fell to the infield shortly after completing the fifth lap, and he remained down for 15 to 20 minutes as paramedics and event staff attended to him. The men’s 3,000m was completed while Campbell was down on the ground.

The Olympian was eventually carried away in a stretcher to a nearby hospital. We'll update this story as we learn more.
