Lewis Kent Demolishes '40s On The 40' World Record

Just five days after FloTrack debuted the newest alcohol-and-running challenge, 40s On The 40, legendary beer miler Lewis Kent took the mantle of world record holder from our very own Lincoln Shryack, who was too chagrined to write this report.
A video posted today shows Kent crushing his 40oz malt liquor of choice, Olde English 800, and running 40 yards in a blistering time of 54 seconds, unofficially. Watch the former beer mile world record holder throw down the gauntlet here:
As we watch players run the 40 at the combine, how they would do if they chugged a 40 before running it? Former beer mile record holder @LewisKentMiler trying the new alcoholic running event suggested by @flotrack: Chug a 40, run the 40! (? by @Mychasiw) pic.twitter.com/JhbuC6z7DX

In the inaugural 40s On The 40, Shryack set the world record at 1:55.32, which bested fellow staffer Gordon Mack's 2:05.09 (note that Mack's result did stand as an official time as he crossed the finish line before "relocating his beer").
Now that Kent has put himself back at the top of the history books, it's hard to imagine anyone dethroning him—unless there's an elite sprinter out there who also has elite drinking skills...
