Moh Ahmed Erupts For 12:47 5k, Fastest Ever On U.S. Soil

The Bowerman women were a tough act to follow on Friday in Portland after both Shelby Houlihan and Karissa Schweizer went under the previous 5,000m American record, but Canadian Moh Ahmed did his best to steal some of the spotlight as he blitzed a 12:47.20 to chop 11 seconds off his 5k personal best.

Shelby Houlihan Smashes Her 5k U.S. Record In 14:23, Schweizer Runs 14:26

Shelby Houlihan smashed her own 5,000m American record by over 10 seconds in running 14:23.92 on Friday night in Portland. Competing in a Bowerman Track Club time trial, Houlihan held off teammate Karissa Schweizer with her patented kick as Schweizer also went well below the old mark in 14:26.34.

Running For Beginners: 5 Tips To Get Started

When I decided I wanted to run regularly, the first phrase that popped into my mind was "runner's high." Noah Lyles Makes His 200m Season Debut At Inspiration Games

The fast times across the United States last week showed that despite the limitations on the running world in 2020, athletes are still in good shape. 'The Big Friendly': Pete Julian's Group vs. OTC Replay

Boutique track meets are en vogue in 2020 as the normal schedule has been squashed by the pandemic, and on Friday two Nike training groups got together for an old-fashioned dual meet. The so-called "Big Friendly" featured Pete Julian's squad (featuring Donavan Brazer, Craig Engels and Konstanze Klosterhalfen) vs. OTC Elite (featuring Chanelle Price, Vincent Ciattei) in a three-event slate: men's and women's 800m and a men's 1500m.
