At least one ACC program has already left the event upon learning of their conference’s decision.
Meanwhile, PAC-12 and SEC schools will decide whether or not to compete at the championships on a school by school basis.
The sporting world has endured cancellations en masse over the last day as the U.S. tries to contain the spread of the virus. On Wednesday, the NBA suspended their season after a player tested positive for the virus before a game. On Thursday, top NCAA men's basketball programs Duke and Kansas withdrew from the NCAA tournament.
