Johannes Vetter of Germany launched the second best javelin throw in history on Sunday in Poland.
2017 world champion Johannes Vetter of Germany launched the second best javelin throw in history on Sunday in Chorzów, Poland, with his massive 97.76m heave, the top mark in over 24 years.

Only Jan Zelezny’s 98.48m world record is better than Vetter’s toss. The 27-year-old unbelievably improved his personal best by 3.32 meters— or nearly 11 feet— with a throw that sailed over the officials’ heads and landed just outside of the shot put sector.
