FloTrack To Broadcast Super League Triathlon: Malibu

FloTrack will broadcast the 2021 Super League Triathlon: Malibu on September 25th. The event is the final stop in the Super League Championship Series with previous events taking place in London, Munich and Jersey. This will mark the first time the Super League has held a race in the United States. The race will be available exclusively in North America on FloTrack.

Fourteen of the 18 Olympic medalists will compete in Malibu, including Tokyo champions Kristian Blummenfelt and Flora Duffy. Katie Zaferes, who won silver and bronze medals in Tokyo leads the way for the American entrants. 

Jessica Learmonth of Great Britain, who won gold in the mixed relay this summer, is leading in the overall women's SLT competition after sweeping the first three events and has 45 season points. Her countrywoman Georgia Taylor-Brown, also a gold medalist, has finished runner-up at the previous three races and sits in second with 42 points. 

Olympic mixed relay champion Jonathan Brownlee of Great Britain is in first place in the men's competition with 42 points. He is followed closely by Hayden Wilde of New Zealand who has 41 points. 

Saturday's competition will be held along the Pacific coastline and will feature an "eliminator" format. Athletes will be eliminated throughout the competition as athletes cycle through three separate swim-bike-run rounds.
