Back-to-back CAA individual champion Alexander Korczynski of Northeastern will compete in the 2022 NCAA Cross Country National Championship meet on Saturday in Stillwater, Okla., hosted by Oklahoma State University. The men’s championship race will begin at 11:10 a.m. EST, and fans can watch live coverage of the event on ESPNU.

Korczynski is the first Husky to qualify for the national championship since 2014, and it's the third time in the past four seasons that CAA Cross Country has had an individual qualifier for the championship meet.

It has been a career year for the senior from Willimantic, Conn. Korczynski won the CAA Championship race for the second consecutive season, becoming the first Northeastern in program history to win the individual title twice. Additionally, he set personal-best marks in the 5K (15:07.7) and 10K (23:39.9) and had a season-best time of 23:51.7 in the 8K.

Furthermore, Korczynski earned an auto bid to the NCAA Championship after an All-Region finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship. He finished seventh in the meet, marking the highest finish in Northeastern program history at the NCAA Regional Championship.

Athletes who finish top-40 at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships will be recognized with All-America honors for the 2022 season.
