On Saturday, freshman Josh Kerr became part of a very small club to beat 17-time NCAA champion Edward Cheserek. In the final 400 meters of the race, the New Mexico runner unleashed a jaw-dropping kick to create a gap between himself and Cheserek. The strength of the collegiate record-holder wasn’t enough to catch Kerr as he ran to win his first NCAA indoor crown.
