After winning the Millrose Mile in his senior season last year, Robby Andrews broke Alan Webb's 1,000m National Record running 2:22.28 and then became the first US prep in history to run under 1:50 for 800m indoors, breaking Michael Granville's national record. He continued to roll through the outdoor season and cemented himself as one of the greatest high school middle distance runners in recent history, graduating with 2 High School National Records, 2 National Titles in the 800, and a 4:03 mile PR to boot. He chose the University of Virginia to run for Coach Vigilante, one of the top middle distance coaches in the NCAA.

He discusses his breakthrough this past year and how his transition to college has set him up as he begins his first college season competing for the Cavaliers. Luckily the fire alarm that interrupted us was only a false alarm.
