Desiree Davila of Hanson-Brooks recaps her second place finish at the 2011 Boston Marathon. Desiree Davilia ran 2:22:38 to break the Boston Marathon American course record by 5 seconds, which had been held by Joan Benoit Samuelson (2:22:43) since 1983. Desi now ranks #3 all-time on the American Marathoning list, moving ahead of Kara Goucher with her Boston performance. Davila trading leading the marathon at the later stages of the Boston Marathon and battled until the end to loose by a narrow margin of two seconds to Kenya's Caroline Kilel. Desi is a Hanson-Brooks athlete and trains out of Rochester Hills, Michigan.
