Molly Huddle days after 2011 MT SAC 5k victory

Molly Huddle has started her 2011 outdoor track campaign off with a big win in the 5k over American Steeplechase Record Holder Jenny Simpson (formerly Barringer) at the 2011 Mt. SAC Relays. Last year, Molly Huddle surprised some by breaking the American Record for 5000 meters running a 14:44.76, just bettering a mark that had been held by Shalane Flanagan who also holds the 10k American Record. This year Huddle comes into outdoor as one of the favorites to make the US World Team for Daegu, a team she has never made before. Molly comes in with a new confidence and an attitude that she will run with anyone. Look for Huddle to continue to make some big strides in 2011.
