Kyle Miller on A Roll in 2011

null

Kyle Miller graduated from the University of Texas in 2009 after coming off a season off injuries. After a sub-par first year as a post-collegiate, Miller joined up with some old college teammates and Team Cook down in Austin where he began working with Ryan Ponsonby. In his first race with the new team at the NB Indoor Games at the Armory, Miller won the 1500 in a near PR of 3:41.99. He hasn't looked back since. He ran a HUGE PR of nearly 5 seconds at Occidental when he finished second behind Andrew Wheating in 3:36.82. Two weeks later he set another 5 second PR in the mile when he ran 3:55.38 at Pre and followed it up a week later in NYC with a 3 second 800 PR of 1:47.27. Kyle Miller hadn't set PRs in any event since 2008 as a redshirt Junior when he ran a 4:00.50(i) mile and 3:41.67 for 1500 meters. That same year Miller was also part of the Texas DMR that broke the indoor world record of 9:25.97 (ran 1200 leg). He has been on a roll in 2011 and has set himself up well for the 2012 year ahead. He'll be running in London this weekend.
