Alice Schmidt after 4:05 PR & Oly A standard in 1500 win at the 2012 Pre Classic

Alice Schmidt shocked the field at the Prefontaine Classic in the women's 1500 by beating some of the best in the US including World Champ Jenny Simpson. Schmidt went on to run a near three second PR with a time of 4:05.64, a time that betters the Olympic A Standard of 4:06.0. Now five US women have the qualifying time- Uceny, Simpson, Rowbury, Wurth-Thomas and Schmidt.
