Chanelle Price was a high school phenom at 800 meters running an unbelievable 2:01.61 back in 2008. Since that time she has only run faster once, which came in the summer of 2009. While at Tennessee Price has experienced ups and downs with individual success not coming as quickly as she had expected. Now a senior, Chanelle says she is finally learning how to run her 800 and leave behind who she was in high school. Right now Price is running as confident as she ever has and on Day 1 in Des Moines ran the fastest time in the prelims with a 2:01.66, her fastest time in 3 years and only .33 off her PR. Price is ready for the final and says if you are going to beat her, you'll have to run fast to do it.
