Brigetta Barrett the next big name in High Jump making Olympic team at 2012 US Olympic Trials

Brigetta Barrett is paving a path to become the best collegiate high jumper in history. Soon after she'll be looking to do the same on the professional stage. All year Brigetta had trouble hitting a new personal best but that was not the case at the US Olympic Trials. Barrett broke her PR two times and became the first collegiate over 2 meters with her jump of 2.01m/6'7" (The jump does not count as the collegiate record since it is outside collegiate competition). Barrett finish second in the competition to one of the best jumpers in the world, Chaunte Lowe, based on misses and now ties for the #2 mark in the world.
