Ben Saarel surprised by breakthrough season with sub-4 on his mind

Last year Ben Saarel's highest rank was 36th in the nation with his 9:01 run in the 3200m. This season those times are distant memories. Saarel has been on a tear this spring. Currently the Utah native ranks #1 in the nation at 3k (8:19) and 3200 (8:45), #6 in the mile (4:08) and #21 in the 800 (1:52...day after his 4:08 mile). Saarel has also beat the nation's top returning miler/2miler, Bernie Montoya, on three different occasions over three different distances. And lets not forget his 8:49 run at altitude! Things are rolling right now and Ben looks to continue this weekend as he'll double the 800/1600 at the Utah State Meet and then again at the Dream Mile in NYC (with sub-4 in his sights). Also, he gets the secret advice from double Olympic Champ, Mo Farah.
