Nick Symmonds 3rd in 800m and top American at Pre Classic 2013

Having won five consecutive USA Outdoor 800m titles in a row, no other American has commanded the two lap race like Nick Symmonds. At the same venue where he won many of those USA titles is where Symmonds ran a 1:45.40 for 3rd at the Pre Classic. Although he didn't feel as that explosive today, he is not that concerned as his sights are on USAs in three weeks. If he follows suit of the past five years he will head to Moscow, Russia for the World Champs where he's anxious to toe the line with World Record Holder David Rudisha.
