Chris O'Hare first sub 3:54 collegiate miler gives perspective on collegiate record

O'Hare first to break 3:54, talks Ches mile

In 2013, Chris O'Hare broke the collegiate mile record in a BIG way, running 3:52.98. O'Hare broke Miles Batty's record by 1.56 seconds and became the first college miler ever to break 3:54. He now sits #2 all-time behind Lawi Lalang's 3:52.88 and is one of the best milers in the UK (represented UK in Rio Olympics in 1500m). O'Hare recalls his record run and gives perspective on what it takes to break the collegiate record.

Edward Cheserek will go after Lalang's 3:52.88 at the BU Last Chance Meet in Boston on Sunday. The mile is schedule for 3:10pm ET.
