800m champion Cha'iel Johnson of MGX doubled back for the 1500m with an exciting win over Krianne McBride, who had set an AAU national championships record of 10:11.3 in winning the 3K on Monday morning. Johnson's winning time of 4:43.83 just missed the AAU national championships record of 4:41.14, set by current Penn State star Danae Rivers in 2010.
