North Rockland High School sophomore Katelyn Tuohy, currently the No. 1 ranked prep on the MileSplit Flo50, ran 13:21.8 over 4K to shatter the Manhattan Invitational course record in New York this weekend. The previous record was 13:53, set by Jess Lawson (now of Stanford) in 2015. Many all-time great New York preps have raced on the historic Van Cortland Park course, including the likes of Mary Cain, Aisling Cuffe and Nicole Blood. Tuohy is only the fifth girl to break 14 minutes.
