Girls Foot Locker West XC Regional - Claudia Lane breaks course record
Defending Foot Locker champion Claudia Lane demolished the field at Foot Locker West with a new course record of 16:59. She is the first girl to break 17 minutes on the Mt. SAC 5K course; Jordan Hasay ran 17:17 in 2007. Lane has now erased many of California's toughest high school girls course records, including a 16:30.30 run at Woodward Park and a shocking 15:59 at the Mt. SAC Invitaitonal's 2.93 mile course; both records were previously held by Sarah Baxter, who ran 16:40 at Woodward Park and 16:00 at the Mt. SAC Invitational.
