Fort Bend Marshall (TX) ran the fastest 4x100 meter relay in the country on April 4 in Texas, hitting 40.15 on the clock to set a new US No. 1 lead. The time was the 14th fastest effort ever run by an American high school team and one of the fastest times ever ran the first week of April.

Texas MileSplit's Will Grundy breaks down that 40.15 and details how the squad can run even faster over the next few weeks. The high school national record of 39.76 was set by Fort Worth OD Wyatt (TX) back in 1998 and remains the high school standard.
