Centro Passing On Indoors In 2018
Matthew Centrowitz has decided to skip the 2018 indoor season and will instead race in Australia.
Olympic 1500m champion Matthew Centrowitz is skipping the indoor season and instead will race outdoors in Australia.
According to Letsrun, Centrowitz will spend a month in Australia and may also travel to New Zealand. Centrowitz won gold at the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland. He has not yet announced which races he will be running.
Soon after the Centrowitz news was published, fellow 1500m runner Nick Willis announced that he would also be skipping the indoor championships to compete in Australia.

Willis isn’t completely cutting his indoor campaign. The two-time Olympic medalist is entered in the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games on February 3. Willis has long coveted a Wanamaker victory — a race he’s never won in his career.
