Traveling to Lausanne

With the Flotrack's European Diamond League coverage kicking off today, we make the trek to Lausanne! One day in Leuven, then back to the airport for a flight to Geneva. I was able to score a ride with the meet shuttle to save a few bucks and got dropped off at the meet hotel, Movenpick, to catch the tail end of the World Cup semi - Spain v Germany. I am staying with Trent and Hilary Stellingwerff for two nights while in Lausanne along with Speed River/Guelph U coach Dave Scott-Thomas. Trent works for Nestle out here and Hilary is a Canadian 1500m runner who you've seen on Flotrack. I have been a little under the weather as I got sick a few days before heading to Europe so thats been a bit tough with some jet-lag thrown in. Hopefully I'll break through soon and be rolling on all cylinders. I know what will set me on the right track though......Lausanne Diamond League!! I am about to go for a run with Trent and Dave to get the juices flowing and legs moving. Check back in a few hours as the meet gets underway later today.
