Isaac Chavez - D2's Next Big Gun

Isaac Chavez arrived at Chico State with big expectations on his shoulders, and he has risen to them. After running 8:57 for 3200 at Barstow HS in southern California, Isaac has not skipped a beat as a collegiate. Now a sophomore, he placed 5th and 3rd in his first two XC National races and 3rd in the D2 10k last spring. Isaac ran 28:49 in the Stanford Invitational 10k and is aiming to earn the national title at that distance. Is he the next D2 star? Keep an eye on Isaac as he works his way up the ranks.
