This past weekend we saw an in-state rivalry go down at Texas A&M between the Aggies and the Longhorns. With one event to and both teams tied up the meet was in the hands of Jessica Beard, the returning NCAA Outdoor Champ and Berlin World Championship team member. Beard had run the nation leading mark in the 400 earlier in the day but that didn't scare Texas sophomore Angele Cooper. Cooper battled with Beard over the final 200 meters to lead her team to victory and crush the meet record in the event by 7 seconds!
