The AAU Track and Field Junior Olympics 2023 starts on July 29 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. 

The AAU Junior Olympics has hosted annual competitions for more than 50 years. Its first event in 1967 comprised of only 523 athletes across two events. Since then the organization has grown to host around 14,000 participants in 20 different events a year.

Here's Every AAU Junior Olympics Girls 100m Winners of the Past 10 Years

Things will really start to heat up on July 29, when the Track and Field events begin. The week could potentially be full of athletes breaking records as well as achieving new personal bests. 

According to the 2023 AAU Jr Olympics Track and Field Schedule, the 100-meter dash starts Monday, July 31. Quarterfinals begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the semi-finals on Aug. 2 and finals on  Aug.5.
