It's been a day full of action during day 2 of the 2023 AAU Track and Field Junior Olympics. Youth athletes are in Des Moines, Iowa until Aug. 5 for a week of intense competition. 

The athletes who have competed in past AAU Jr Olympics have continued on to achieve impressive careers in the track and field world. Is there a chance we could see record-breaking performances this year? History shows that every year a multitude of new personal bests are achieved.

Day 2 of the meet featured impressive racewalks from age divisions 13-18, the men decathlon, and women's heptathlon. The AAU Junior Olympic Schedule set the finals and medal ceremonies to be on Saturday, August 5.
