The 2024 World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold Meeting de Madrid is one of nearly 60 World Athletics Indoor Tour events scheduled for the first quarter of 2024, and you don’t want to miss any of the action from Gallur, Madrid, Spain. 

The 2024 edition of the Meeting de Madrid is the final gold event on this season’s indoor schedule and will attract some of the top athletes in the world, including Devynne Charleton of the Bahamas (world record-holder in the 60-meter hurdles), Eleanor Patterson of Australia (high jump world champion), Hugues Fabrice Zango of Burkina Faso, Africa (triple jump world champion), among many others.

The previous World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold events took place in Kazakhstan (Jan. 27), Czech Republic (Jan. 30), United States (Feb. 4 and Feb. 11), Poland (Feb. 6) and France (Feb. 10).

The women at the Meeting de Madrid will compete in the 60-meter hurdles, 1,500 meters, high jump and long jump.

The men will compete in 800- and 3,000-meter races, shot put and pole vault.

The World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold Meeting de Madrid is one of seven gold-level events on the World Athletics Indoor Tour schedule, and success across these events will be extra lucrative for the athletes. 

On the line will be gold-medal glory, prize money and the opportunity to compete in the World Indoor Championships (19th edition), scheduled for March 1-3 in Glasgow, Scotland. 

The World Indoor Championships will include more than 650 competitors representing more than 130 countries. There will be 26 events – 13 for men and 13 for women.
