No college baseball program has won more NCAA championships than USC Baseball, who won 12 national championships from 1948 to 1998. 

But the program has hit speed bumps since the turn of the century as second-year coach Andy Stankiewicz tries to rebuild the program and direct them back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015 

The Trojans are also seeking their first trip to the College World Series since 2001 when Mark Prior led then to Omaha two years in a row. 

In his first season at USC, Stankiewicz guided the program to a 34-23-1 record and fourth-place finish in the Pac-12, but were surprisingly left out of the NCAA Tournament.

Stankiewicz, a former MLB player, coached at Grand Canyon from, 2012-2022 and won four WAC titles.

His second Trojan team is led by outfielder Austin Overn, the No. 62-ranked prospect in the 2024 MLB Draft. He hit .314 with 14 triples as a freshman in 2023 and was a freshman All-American.

JT Waldon (.417/1.063/.500) and Jacob Galloway (.357/1.100/.643) have helped lead the way so far this season.
