EUGENE -- The University of Arkansas' women's track and field team's success didn't end after the 2024 NCAA indoor season when they claimed their second straight indoor title.

In fact, it looks like the Razorbacks are heating up once again.

On Thursday at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the team's 400m runners put on a show, appearing in the 4x100, 400m and 4x400 semifinals.

Between seniors Nickisha Pryce and Amber Anning, junior Rosey Effiong and freshman Kaylyn Brown, the Arkansas women went 1-2-3-4 in the 400m, ran the fastest 4x400 prelim and clocked the second-best 4x100, with Anning anchoring the team's season best of 42.45.

Between those three events alone, Arkansas could have an opportunity to capture over 40 points.

Brown led the way in the 400m with a top time of 49.82 in the third heat, followed by an effort of 49.87 from Price in the second circuit. Effioing and Anning were third and fourth in heats two and one.

If this sounds familiar, it's because these women also went 1-2-3-4 at the NCAA West Regional.

Pryce also has a chance to break a fellow Razorback's record.

Britton Wilson previously held the meet record for the 400m at the NCAA Outdoor championships, but she was beaten in the 2023 final by Texas' Rhasidat Adeleke, who ran 49.20

Wilson, however, continues to have the fastest time in collegiate history with her 49.13 from the 2023 SEC Outdoor Championships.

Fast forward to a year later. At the 2024 SEC Outdoor Championships, Pryce posted the third-fastest time in NCAA history, registering a 49.32 personal best. Brown also posted a personal best of 49.47, finishing one spot behind Pryce.

But the four runners' work doesn't end there. All four also participate in the 4x400m relay, which they also won yesterday with a time of 3:25.51. Three of those Arkansas women also feature in the 4x100 -- Effiong, Brown and Anning.

Brown, Price, Effoing and Anning have become somewhat of a Dream Team in the 4x400m relay, having set the NCAA record at the West Regional on May 25 in 3:21.92.

If past success indicates future success in the finals across those three events, Arkansas will be well on its way to a team title.

The women's 4x100 final begins at 2:32 p.m. PST, while the 400m final will follow at 3:32 pm and the 4x400m relay will finish at 4:51 p.m.
