Quincy Wilson leads Bullis School to a new 4x400m national record at the 2025 Penn Relays, finishing second behind Kingston College with a time of 3:06.31.

Quincy Wilson Anchors As Bullis Break 40-Year-Old 4x400m National Record

Quincy Wilson played a key role in helping Bullis School break a 40-year-old national record in the 4x400m relay at the 2025 Penn Relays. 

The team finished in 3:06.31, setting a new US high school record, surpassing the previous mark of 3:07.40 set by Hawthorne (Calif.) in 1985.

Wilson, who ran the anchor leg, delivered an impressive 43.99 split after taking the hand-off in fifth place. 

His performance brought Bullis from fifth to second, just behind Kingston College, who took the win with a time of 3:05.93.

Where Is Penn Relays Held?

The Penn Relays are held at Franklin Field, which is located at the University of Pennsylvania. This historic stadium, dedicated in April 1895, has been the site of the Penn Relays since its inception on the same day, making it a significant venue for track and field events.

When Is The 2025 Penn Relays?

  • The 129th annual Penn Relays will be a three-day event from April 24-26, 2025.
  • The event is held annually at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
  • The inaugural edition of the Penn Relays was held in 1895.

What Is The Penn Relays?

  • The Penn Relays has grown into a three-day track and field event comprising various relay races, such as 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 and 4x800, along with all of the other fan-favorite track and field competitions.
  • Many heat, hurdle and long-distance races round out the track portion of the event.
  • Field events include shot put, discus, javelin, long jump, high jump, triple jump and pole vault.
  • All winning teams are rewarded with a Penn Relays Wheel.
