Cordell Tinch Stuns Grant Holloway in 110m Hurdles at Diamond League Opener
Paris Olympic Gold Medalist Grant Holloway did not have the ideal start to the 2025 Diamond League, finishing last in the 110m hurdle race.

After winning gold in the same event at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Grant Holloway finished last in the first Men's 110m Hurdles race at the Xiamen Diamond League 2025 as Cordell Tinch stunned the field with a big win on April 26 in Xiamen, China.

What looked like another win on Holloway's record quickly turned into a race he would probably want to forget. The 2025 Indoor World Champion in the 60-meter hurdles, came down awkwardly, clearing the last hurdle, pushing his momentum back and leading to the shocking last-place finish.
The good news for Holloway is that this mishap happened in the Diamond League opener in April, and there is a lot more season left to make up ground, which is likely not too big of a problem for him to overcome.
