Athing Mu will race in the third section of the 1500m at Sound Running's Track Fest on Saturday, May 24.

Athing Mu Added To Sound Running Track Fest 2025 Entries

Athing Mu has been added to the star-studded field at the 2025 rendition of Sound Running's Track Fest.

Mu will race in the third section of the 1500m on Saturday May, 24 at 9:40 PM ET. Sound Running Track Fest will be available LIVE on FloTrack.

Mu most recently posted a 4:21.18 solo 1500m at the Very, Very Last Chance Meet in Los Angeles.

At the Mt Sac Relays she opened up her season, sort of, in a 5,000m race. She ran 3,000m of that distance before dropping out of the race as planned. She split 9:41.75 in that effort.

This week, it was also announced that Mu would race the 800m at the 2025 Pre Classic on July 5th. That field will also feature Tsige Duguma, Keely Hodgkinson, Mary Moraa and Prudence Sekgodiso.

As she continues to gear towards that effort, she is using overdistance races to build strength and fitness heading into the World Championship year.
