Healy Times It Perfectly in Women’s 1500m - 3:58 CT

After a quick start and early separation, the pace dropped sharply once the pacer stepped off, bunching the field into a 12-woman pack at the bell (2:28). With 3:13 at 1200m, it was anyone’s race, but it was Ireland’s Sarah Healy who timed her move best, leaning at the line to win in 3:59.17. Billings followed smartly for second with a strong final 200m, and Caldwell claimed third.

Adcock Wins with 8.34m and a Backflip - 3:50 CT

Liam Adcock takes the men’s long jump with a winning leap of 8.34m, then caps it off in style with a celebratory backflip. The crowd loved it.

Battle Takes Women’s 200m - 3:13 CT

It wasn’t the quickest race, but Battle got the job done in 22.53 to secure her third Diamond League win of the season. Solid and consistent from the American.

Quincy Hall and Nene Shine in Men’s 400m - 3:03 CT

No denying Quincy Hall

Not for the first time this season, Quincy Hall proves he’s not done until the finish line says so. The American powers down the home stretch, chasing South Africa’s Zakithi Nene, who looked set to take the win. But Hall summons one last burst past and claims victory with a season-best 44.22.

Chebet Makes History in Rome! - 2:48 CT

Beatrice Chebet delivered a stunning performance in the women’s 5000m, crossing the line in 14:03.69 to become the second-fastest woman ever at the distance. Chebet’s dominant display left the rest of the field trailing as she etched her name into the record books with one of the fastest times in history.

Early Highlights: Shot Put, 5K, and High Jump Action - 2:44 CT

Tom Walsh opens strong with a 21.89m throw, while home favorite Leonardo Fabbri sits sixth after round one.

In the men’s long jump, competition heats up, but the spotlight remains on the women’s 5,000m—world record holder Gudaf Tsegay hits the wall as Chebet surges ahead, creating a huge gap.

Gianmarco Tamberi fires up the home crowd by clearing his first two heights with ease, matching the field at 2.20m. The question: how long can the Italian hold pace with Olympic champ Hamish Kerr?

Chebet 3 Laps to Go- 2:42 CT

Where Is The Diamond League Rome (Golden Gala Pietro Mennea) 2025 Taking Place?

Again, the Diamond League Rome/Golden Gala Pietro Mennea moves toward the front of the Diamond League schedule in 2025, returning to its familiar home at Rome’s Olympic Stadium.

The venue was built in 1937, almost exclusively for track and field, but it received a makeover for the 1960 Olympics and has hosted many top-tier events since, including being a regular stop for the Diamond League.

The renovations made it more versatile and able to welcome more than 70,000 fans for athletics, soccer, rugby and more.

About The Diamond League

The invitation-only Diamond League brings together the most elite track & field athletes to showcase their skills, earn prize money, collect points toward the season-ending championship event and ultimately elevate the status of athletics across the globe.

Traditionally, Diamond League competition includes a slate of 16 disciplines, though not every meet features all of them.

Points accumulated during the first 14 events of the season determine the athletes who advance to the final event, where they compete for more prize money and Diamond League titles.

The 2025 season marks FloTrack’s first year as the streaming home of the Diamond League for audiences in the United States and its territories (with the exception of any events being held in the United States).
