As the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championship comes to a close on Saturday, one young phenom is closing out more than just his sophomore track season.

Arkansas Razorback wide receiver and runner Jordan Anthony announced on Saturday afternoon that he will be forgoing the rest of his collegiate career and turning professional, per his social media.

"This moment of reflection and sorrow, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the communities that helped shape me. Thank you for accepting me, for welcoming me with open arms and for nurturing me through the many seasons of life," Anthony said.

Anthony recently participated in the men's 100m and 200m final, taking home first place and the national title in the 100m with a time of 10.07 and fourth place in the 200m with a 20.01 finish. He also participated in the men's 400 relay with Arkansas where they took home bronze.

The Arkansas men's team landed just one point shy of tying things up for the national title with Texas A&M and USC.
