On the infield, the bar is at 5.80m in the men’s pole vault and track action is about to heat up with the women’s 400m hurdles.

Events Are Underway In Stockholm - 10: 15 AM CT

We’re rolling in Sweden! Engla Nilsson of the host nation opens the women’s high jump, clearing 1.75m with ease. She’s the only athlete to start at that height; the rest of the field (including medal contenders Nicola Olyslagers, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, and Eleanor Patterson) join at 1.80m or higher.

Meanwhile, the men’s pole vault has begun. The big question: Can Mondo Duplantis chase a world record in front of a home crowd? Moments ago, he shared a quick exchange with none other than Usain Bolt on the sidelines. Something’s brewing.
