As the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships return to Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, a strong group of Under Armour–sponsored athletes will be lining up across the middle-distance, long-distance, and steeplechase events. Representing training groups like Dark Sky Distance and UA Mission Run Baltimore, this group features national champions, Olympic finalists, and emerging contenders. With World Championships spots on the line, UA athletes enter the meet with competitive season marks and noteworthy success at previous U.S. and global championships.

Weini Kelati - 5,000m/10,000m

Kelati lowered her American half marathon record in January with a time of 1:06:09 at the Houston Half Marathon. She’s also a known quantity on the track—winning the U.S. 10,000m title at the 2024 Olympic Trials and representing Team USA in Paris. A former NCAA cross country champion and outdoor track 10K champion (2019), Kelati is expected to be a major contender in the 10,000m and could double in the 5000m depending on event scheduling and recovery.

Matthew Wilkinson - 3,000m Steeplechase

Wilkinson has established himself as one of the top U.S. steeplechasers. He ran 8:11.11 at Rabat Diamond League in May and followed it up with a new personal best of 8:10.23 at the Monaco Diamond League in July. The latter mark is #1 in the U.S. this year. Wilkinson was the runner-up at the 2024 Olympic Trials, qualifying for the Paris Games. Wilkinson is poised for another strong championship showing and is a top contender for the world team.

Isaac Updike - 3,000m Steeplechase

Updike, another seasoned U.S. steeplechaser, ran 8:13.64 (U.S. #2) at Portland Track Fest in June and followed that up by running 8:13.68 at the Sunset Tour in Los Angeles this July. He placed third at the 2023 U.S. Championships and went on to compete at the World Championships in Budapest, where he advanced to the final. Updike remains a strong contender to return to the global stage.

Casey Comber - 3,00m Steeplechase

Comber ran a personal best 8:32.19 (U.S. #26 in 2025) at Sound Running Track Fest in May. Last year, he ran the 1500m at U.S. Olympic Trials and advanced to the semi-finals.

Jonah Koech - 1,500m

Koech has made significant progress this year, clocking a season-best of 3:31.43 (U.S. #3 in 2025). Though he’s newer to the championship spotlight than some of his peers, his marks show he belongs in the same conversation. He has emerged from Under Armour’s developmental ranks into a legitimate contender for a national team spot in the 1500m. Koech initially was entered in the 800m as well (currently U.S. #4, 1:43.22) but strached to focus on the 1500m.

Vincent Ciattei - 1,500m

Ciattei is coming off a personal best 3:31.69 in the 1500m earlier this summer at Rome Diamond League (U.S. #4). He placed fourth at the 2024 Olympic Trials, narrowly missing the team, He won the 2025 USATF 1 Mile Road Championship in April. His 2025 form has kept him firmly in the national conversation, and he enters USAs with a realistic shot at his first senior U.S. team berth.

John Reniewicki - 800m/1,500m

Reniewicki's season features a 3:33.58 outdoor PB at Sound Running Sunset Tour, backed by an indoor 3000m time of 7:46.63. He also ran his 800m PB this season (1:46.88).

Abraham Alvarado - 800m/1,500m

After running a personal best 1:44.44 in the 800m at the 2024 U.S. Trials, Alvarado nearly equaled this mark at Sound Running Sunset Tour earlier this month (1:44.47 At Diamond League Stockholm in June, he posted a 1,500m PB of 3:33.21 (U.S. #8).

Kasey Knevelbaard - 1,500m/5,000m

Knevelbaard, a former NCAA standout at Southern Utah and Florida State, is entered in both the 1500m and 5000m. He holds personal bests of 3:34.55 and 13:13.23, respectively. He was the 2023 Pan American Games gold medalist in the 5000m and continues to improve steadily on the pro circuit.
