Here's Who Won The Women's 5000m Race At The 2025 USATF Championships

The final women's race of the 2025 Toyota USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, was the 5,000-meter event, won by past Olympian Shelby Houlihan, who recently returned to the track after a four-year hiatus.

She finished the race in 15:13.61 and was followed by Elise Cranny (15:14.26) and Josette Andrews (15:15.01).

The four-day meet, being held July 31 through Aug. 3, will help determine the United States' roster for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in September.

The win for Houlihan comes just a few months after she home a silver medal in the 3000m event at the 2025 World Indoor Championships in China.

Houlihan competed in the 5000m at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where she finished 11th and was the highest-placing American.
