On a very rainy day, track and field stars took the stage at the 2025 Diamond League Lausanne meet, one of the last opportunities to qualify for the Diamond League Finals which will take place from Aug 27-28 in Zurich.

In the men's 100M, Oblique Seville defeated Noah Lyles, handing Lyles his second loss in a row. Keely Hodgkinson, who holds the world lead in the women's 800M set a new meeting record and though it was not a Diamond League event, Ezekiel Nathaniel won the men's 400M hurdles.

Grant Fisher took second place in the men's 5000M while Doris Lemngole ran away from the field in the women's 3000M steeplechase.

While the rain made for a slower day of running and challenged the field athletes, Diamond League Lausanne was still full of action.

Athletes will head to Brussels for the next Diamond League event on Friday, Aug 22.
