Brooks Athletes To Watch At The 2025 World Championships
Keep an eye on these Brooks athletes at the 2025 World Athletics Outdoor Championships in Tokyo.

The 2025 World Outdoor Championships begin this Friday, September 12 (ET). A stellar contingent of Brooks athletes are making the trip overseas and abroad to Tokyo, where they'll look to contend for medals in their respective events.
From Josh Kerr in the 1,500m, to Emily Infeld in the 10,000m - we'll have our eye on these six athletes at the 2025 World Championships.

Josh Kerr - 1,500m
The 2023 World Champion will look to defend his 1,500m title in Tokyo this year.
At the 2023 Championship in Budapest, Kerr magnificently out-kicked the two Norwegians, Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Narve Gilje Nordas to win the title. Then in 2024, Kerr earned runner-up honours to Cole Hocker at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Kerr will look to beat all three of those men to defend.
His 2025 scorecard includes a couple of 1,500m wins on the Grand Slam Track Circuit and a UK Championship over 5,000m. He also earned a second place finish at the 2025 London Diamond League meeting.
Emily Infeld - 10,000m
Emily Infeld stunned when she won her first US Title in the 10,000m at the 2025 USATF Championships. With her win, she qualified for her fifth World Team - a stage where she has found some success.
In 2015, she heroically earned a bronze medal in the 10,000m at the World Championships. Can she find similar success 10 years later?
The Marathoners
CJ Albertson
Brooks athletes have found so much success in the Marathon this cycle - and Team USA is sending four Brooks athletes to compete in the discipline as a result.
CJ Albertson will represent Brooks on the men's side. Albertson's 2024 season saw the 31-year-old finish fourth at the Team USA Trials - before he placed top ten at the Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon and New York City Marathon.
He carried that momentum into 2025 and scored a 14th place finish at the Boston Marathon before notching a third place finish at the Ottawa Marathon.
Susanna Sullivan
Sullivan's busy 2025 season will continue in Tokyo.
Math Teacher by day, marathoner by night (or early morning), Sullivan will test the field in Tokyo after suffering a fracture at the 2023 World Championships.
Her best performance of 2025 came at the TCS London Marathon. She scored a tenth place finish with her 2:29.30 performance.
Erika Kemp
Kemp opened the 2025 season in a big way. On January 19th, she opened her season with a huge 2:22:56 personal best - to finish second
Since then, she has run a pair of road 10,000m races - but we haven't seen her back at the marathon distance. She is arguably one of the biggest wild cards - and she has the chance to shock the world in 2025.
Jessica McClain
McClain's 2024 season was full of what-ifs. She narrowly missed qualification for the Team USA Olympic Team after she placed fourth at the Olympic Trials. She travelled to Paris as an alternate, but ultimately did not take the start line. She later notched an eighth place finish at the New York City Marathon.
In 2025, McClain has made the World Team - and it has been a stellar season to this point.
At the 2025 Boston Marathon, McClain ran a personal best (*technically unofficial) 2:22:43 to place seventh and as the Top American. She'll look to keep the good times rolling in Tokyo.
