At just 19-years-old, Australia's Cameron Myers has become one of the biggest young talents has signed a partnership with COROS. COROS specializes in GPS watches like the COROS Pace 4 and other wearable products such as heart rate monitors.

Myers currently holds several records which includes Australian U20 Records in the 1000m (2:17:25), 1500m (3:29.80), Mile (3:47.50), 3000m (7:41.11), indoor 1500m (3:32.67), and indoor 3000m (7:27.57) along with the World U20 Record for the indoor Mile (3:47.48).

In 2025, Myers won the 1500m title at the Australian Championships and made appearances at prestigious events including many Diamond League appearances, the Prefontaine Classic, and capped off the outdoor season with an 8th place finish at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championship.

Myers provided COROS with a deep dive on his training while using COROS Metrics, which included training load and heart rate zones.

See here for the full deep dive.

In his training, Myers had a big emphasis on what many could phrase as, "Don't try to fix what isn't broken," as he focused heavily on minor tweaks while keeping the consistency and building on the foundation that was already there. For Myers, he chases a balance of 'endurance, speed, and anaerobic work'  that ensures the most benefit without risking unnecessary risks.

"The one thing we took from last year is we wanted to keep the main thing the thing," Myers said.

Being an athlete with a higher natural heart rate than most, Myers' was stated to average roughly 185-190bpm during threshold work but despite that, from lab testing, he has been able to adjust and adapt to this number with his 'Threshold Heart Rate Zones.'

When it comes to racing, Myers has let go of the ideology of, "hitting splits," and as he said, "... if I don't hit a split, I don't hit a split."
