The second day of the 2026 BU John Terrier Classic has showcased talent across the board in the men's division with more records being broken.
At only the age of 16, Sam Ruthe broke New Zealand's one mile record at the 2026 BU John Thomas Terrier Classic on Saturday, Jan. 31. Previously held by Sir John Walker in 1982 with a 3:49:08, Ruthe surpasses Walker by running a 3:49:08 mile.

The 2026 BU Terrier Classic will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 30. The women's events will be run on Friday, with the men to follow on Saturday. Men's events will also begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
