Men’s 60m: Speed on Full Display
All eyes will be on Jordan Anthony, who enters as the world leader after blazing a 6.43 earlier this season. That mark puts him atop the global list and makes him the man to beat.
But this is no solo act.
Noah Lyles brings championship pedigree and star power, while Trayvon Bromell adds another layer of intrigue with his proven closing speed. Expect fireworks from the gun.
Men’s 400m: McRae Headlines
The two-lap showdown is led by Khaleb McRae, the world leader and indoor world record holder (set this year when he clocked 44.52). McRae has separated himself from the field this season and now looks to add a national title, and secure his spot to Poland.
If he delivers, it could be one of the defining performances of the meet.
Men’s & Women’s 800m: Youth and Experience Collide
On the men’s side, Cooper Lutkenhaus enters as the World U20 record holder and remains undefeated in his young professional career. The momentum is real... and so is the pressure with a world championship berth on the line.
In the women’s race, Sage Hurta-Klecker leads the field with the fastest incoming time of 1:58.78. She’ll face a competitive group that includes Nia Akins, Meghan Hunter, and Valery Tobias. This is arguably one of the most competitive events of the weekend. It will likely come down to who executes the best strategy
Men’s 1500m & 3000m: Distance Stars Double Up
The 1500m features Olympic medalist Cole Hocker, who will also contest the 3000m in a stacked distance lineup. Hocker has momentum on his side. After proving his versatility across distances he is slowly but surely establishing himself as one of the greats
Joining him in the 3000m are Ethan Strand, Yared Nuguse, Nico Young, and Cooper Teare. With this much firepower in one race (and only three automatic spots to Poland) tactical patience and finishing speed will decide the podium.
Jumps to Watch
In the men’s long jump, Cordell Tinch enters with the fourth-farthest jump in the world this season at 8.29m. He’ll look to convert that global ranking into a national title and lock in his ticket overseas. Coming off a successful outdoor season where he became a world champion in the 110m hurdles, can that success translate to the long jump?
On the women’s side, the long jump field is stacked with Jasmine Moore, Claire Bryant, Monae Nichols, and high schooler Parker Coes, a lineup capable of producing some of the best marks in the world this season.
From world-leading sprints to loaded distance fields and elite-level jumping, the USATF Indoor Championships promise championship moments across every event. With national titles and a trip to Poland for the World Indoor Championships on the line, bold racing and zero room for error.
