Karsten Warholm set to Compete at London Diamond League 2026
Karsten Warholm will race the 400m Hurdles at the eleventh meeting of the 2026 Wanda Diamond Series at the Novuna London Athletics Meet.

On July 18, 2026, Karsten Warholm will return to London Stadium to compete in the 400-meter hurdles at the Wanda Diamond League, revisiting the track where he established himself as one of the event's all-time greats.
Few athletes in history have dominated an event the way Warholm has in the 400m hurdles. The Norwegian star owns four of the 10 fastest times ever recorded, including his legendary 45.98 world record, set during his gold medal run at the Tokyo Olympics.

That performance won him Olympic Gold and rewrote history. Warholm became the first man in history to break 46 seconds, a barrier that, five years later, still hasn’t been crossed again.
Adding to his gold-medal resume, Warholm has claimed three World Championships: 2023, 2019, and 2017. The Novuna London Athletics will mark the return to the London Stadium, where Warholm won gold in 2017. The stadium marks the place for many records broken many fond memories for the veteran.
“All my memories of the London Stadium are good ones - winning gold at the World Champs in 2017, setting a meeting record and Norwegian national record (at the time) in 2018, and setting a European record (at the time) and meeting record in 2019. I love that place, and I’m excited to get back out there. I really want to set another meeting record, and I want to have fun doing it!”
At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Warholm took second place to the USA's Rai Benjamin, proving new competitors to be a challenge.
Warholm will return to the Diamond League Championships with something to prove. He remains the Diamond League record holder in the event, which he broke last summer in 46.28, proving his dominance at the top of the event.
The London meeting is one of the premier stops of the circuit, ready to serve as one of the world's biggest one-day athletics event, and will mark the eleventh meeting of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League Series.
Prior to the return to London, Warholm is scheduled to race the 400m Hurdles in on May 23 in Xiamen, China.
