NCAA Track And Championships Schedule 2026: Women's Day 1 Events

The 2026 NCAA Track and Field Championships continue with Women's Day 1, featuring semifinals, field finals and the women's 10,000m final.

The 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships continue Thursday night at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, as the women's competition takes center stage after a dramatic opening day for the men.

Day 1 delivered memorable moments, highlighted by Auburn hurdler Ja'Kobe Tharp's world-record 12.75 in the men's 110-meter hurdles semifinals, the first world record set at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 50 years.

The opening session also featured championship performances from Habtom Samuel of New Mexico, who captured the men's 10,000-meter title in 27:51.31, and Minnesota's Angelos Mantzouranis, who won the men's hammer throw. Auburn's 4x100 relay team added another headline by setting a collegiate record of 37.75 during qualifying.

Now the spotlight shifts to the women, who begin their championship journey with a full slate of semifinal races and field-event finals. Athletes will battle for spots in Saturday's championship finals while others will compete directly for NCAA titles in the field.

Thursday's schedule includes the women's 10,000-meter final, relay qualifying races, sprint and hurdle semifinals, and finals in the hammer throw, pole vault, javelin, long jump and shot put. By night's end, the first group of women's finalists will be set and several national champions will already have been crowned.
