Woody Kincaid Gets The Best of Grant Fisher, Wins 10k Title In Classic Fashion
Anybody else get a sense of deja vu? This isn't the first time that Woody Kincaid has used his unmatchable kick to surge past Grant Fisher for the national title, closing in a 54.89 to run 30:13.66 in one of the most strategic U.S. finals we've seen in a while.
Fisher was runner-up in 30:14.46, while Drew Bosley was third in 30:20.60. Kincaid now joins Galen Rupp as three-time champions, and is back on top for the first time since 2023.

Woo Pig! Former Razorbacks, Sydney Vaught & Katie Izzo Go 1-2 In Women's 10k Final
It was just after the 5,000m mark that Nike athlete and former Arkansas All-American Sydney Vaught took the lead, and despite various charges, she would not be denied.
After running behind Saucony's Vanessa Fraser for nearly 4,000m, Vaught pulled away for the win in 33:30.60, followed by fellow Razorback alum Katie Izzo (adidas) in 33:36.98. BROOKS Beasts' Allie Buchalski was third in 33:32.49, with Cailie Hughes and Mikayla Reed rounding out the top five.
After opening in a 3:13 800m, some of the best distance runners in the country continually dropped the pace until settling into a rhythm that only the strongest could sustain.

Madison Wiltrout Claims Women's Javelin Title On Third Throw, Never Looks Back
In our first non-championship track and field season in six years, a few of the perennial powers kept their sights on the ongoing Diamond League campaign, while other budding stars took advantage of the opportunity.
Madison Wiltrout, who won by over three feet as she was the lone finisher to surpass the 200-0 barrier, threw 201-10 to take the lead back from runner-up Evie Bliss, who had thrown 198-2 on her previous attempt.
Madelyn Harris was third with a throw of 187-5.

Rudy Winkler Takes Control Of Men's Hammer, Cruises To U.S. Title
The three-time Olympian and now six-time U.S. champion looked cool, calm, and collective in the ring, taking the lead on his fourth throw, ending with a a best mark of 252-9. Winkler won by nearly seven feet and was the lone man to throw past the 250-0 mark.
Alex Young and Trey Knight finished runner-up and third, throwing 245-10 and 241-9, respectively.

Parker Stokes Leads Men's Steeple Qualifiers, Olympic Medalist Kenneth Rooks Finishes 20th
Just a few days removed from Brooks Beast teammate Josh Kerr's world record run in the mile, Parker Stokes kept the club's success rolling, running 8:23.04 to win the second heat and secure his spot in the final.
Oregon's Benjamin Balazs kept his outdoor campaign in tip-top shape, running 8:31.04 as he won the first heat. Other well-known steeplers, including Matthew Wilkinson, James Corrigan, Benard Keter, Duncan Hamilton, and Daniel Michalski, all made it through, as well as Yasin Sado.

Addy Wiley Leads Qualifiers In Women's 1500m As All Of The Favorites Qualify For Final
It was a fairly uneventful day in the first round and penultimate round of the Women's 1500m as all of the favorites punched their ticket to Saturday's final.
Wiley and Nikki Hiltz were the two heat winners, with the former running 4:04.17 to the defending champ's 4:04.54. Emily Mackay, Heather MacLean, and Carlee Hansen earned the next three "Big Qs" behind Wiley, running 4:04.29, 4:04.51, and 4:04.92, respectively.
Behind Hiltz was Teagan Schein-Becker (4:04.91), Taryn Parks (4:05.14), and Rachel McArthur (4:05.24.
The four additional time qualifiers are Claire Stegall, Kylie Finger, Jessica Kain, and Annika Reiss.

Simeon Birnbaum Misses Men's 1500m Final, Vincent Ciattei Leads Finalists
After winning an NCAA title in the same event a little over a month ago, NCAA record holder Simeon Birnbaum (Oregon) did not make it through to the final, along with 2019 U.S. champion Craig Engels.
Former Washington Huskies Luke Houser, Nathan Green, and Joe Waskom showed out, with the former two winning their heats while Waskom was runner-up behind Ciattei.
Liam Murphy, Gary Martin, Wes Porter, and Carter Cutting filled out the final four automatic qualifying spots, while Reuben Reina, Rheinhardt Harrison, and Eric Holt took the three final spots of Saturday's showdown.
