2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games - Youth Boys' 3k Race Walk, Prelims 1 - Age 1426:13

The second day of competition at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympics is done, with the first multi-events and racewalks finishing.

August 2 brought another day of decathlon, heptathlon and racewalks to Des Moines, Iowa, but the notable result was Sam Gibb setting a new record in the 13-year-old 3000m racewalk.

Multi-events and racewalks are officially over, and track-and-field events begin. Boys and Girls ages 11 and 12 start the day, before the 200m dash in all divisions finishes the running events on August 3. Girls and boys aged eight end the day in the field events.
